RMSB
The “RMSB” is a vibration-isolated steel base that is engineered to support and add rigidity to a wide variety of mechanical equipment. The steel frame is made of structural steel shapes and is sized using sound structural engineering principles to provide a rigid base that reduces motion on start-up, maintains belt/drive alignment, and spreads the support points. These steel bases will typically have an operating clearance of one inch above the supporting structure to help reduce mounting height and add stability. Incorporated with this base are Vibrex Type “RMS” vibration isolation mounts and our OSHPD pre-approved “SR3200″ or “SR3500″ seismic restraints. The “RMSF” variant includes an adjustable motor-slide-base for centrifugal fan applications, where the motor is separate from the fan.

RMSBI
The “RMSBI” is a vibration-isolated steel inertia base that is engineered to be filled with concrete at the jobsite. The base is made from all-welded structural steel members with welded steel reinforcing bars and welded mounting templates with bolts ready to be cast-in-place, for anchoring equipment. The base is sized for a mass-to-equipment weight ratio that is appropriate for the application, with a minimum base thickness of six inches. Incorporated with this base are Vibrex type “RMS” mounts with height-saving brackets (to reduce the equipment’s mounting height) and our OSHPD pre-approved “SR3200″ or “SR3500″ seismic restraints. The “RMSFI” variant includes an adjustable motor-slide-base for centrifugal fan applications, where the motor is separate from the fan.

Common Uses: to provide a concrete mass, for base-mounted centrifugal pumps, that prevents differential movement between driving and driven members, connected by a flex drive; to reduce the large vibration amplitude (unbalanced forces) found in air compressors and vacuum pumps; to lower the center of gravity of tall, narrow units; to reduce the motion of equipment during start-up and shut down, as well as the reaction-movement “fan thrust” of high-static pressure fans operating at high speeds.
RMUAB-EQ-SH
The “RMUAB-EQ-SH” is an economical, low-profile, structural steel base that incorporates the OSHPD pre-approved, seismically rated, vibration isolator Vibrex type “RMU-EQ-SH”. This isolation base is highly versatile in many field conditions providing rigid, distortion-free equipment mounting and support.
