MOUNTS

INDIVIDUAL VIBRATION ISOLATION AND SEISMIC PROTECTION.

RMS

The “RMS” is a free-standing, laterally stable, un-housed, steel-spring isolator assembly. It consists of a leveling bolt, top plate, spring and a bottom spring cup incorporating a ribbed non-skid acoustical neoprene pad. All springs are designed with a minimum of 50% reserve deflection. Optional features available include a custom baseplate neoprene pad thickness and/or oversize mounting holes with rubber bushings (to isolate metal to metal contact when anchored to the structure).

  • Standard Deflection: 11″, 2″, and 3” with load capacities up to 15,000 lbs. Contact Sales for higher deflection or load requirements.

  • Must be used in conjunction with seismic restraints for seismic application.

RMLS-EQ

The “RMLS-EQ” is a heavy duty steel-spring isolator, with vertical limit stops, that is rated to resist seismic loading and maintain a constant operating height. It uses the “RMS” spring isolator inside of the seismic-rated housing that can be easily replaced without changing the elevation of the isolated equipment. OSHPD Pre-approval #OPA-0029.

  • Standard Deflection: 1″, 2″, 3”, contact Sales for higher deflection requirements.

  • Can be used as individual isolators or incorporated into base or rail systems.

  • Can also be outfitted with height-saving brackets.

  • Common Uses: medium to heavy weight equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, air handlers and centrifugal fans.

RMU-EQ-SH

The “RMU-EQ-SH” is a heavy-duty steel-spring isolator that is rated for seismic loading. It incorporates vertical limit stops, the capacity for leveling, and a ribbed non-skid neoprene pad bonded to the baseplate. OSHPD Pre-approval #OPA-0098.

  • Standard Deflection: 1″-2″, contact Sales for higher deflection requirements.

  • Can be used as individual isolators or incorporated into vibration base or rail systems.

  • Common Uses: mechanical equipment; condensing units; air handling units; packaged air conditioning units.

AS

The “AS” is a pneumatic isolator (air-spring) that is typically furnished as part of a complete vibration isolation base frame system. These systems typically consist of a minimum four air-springs and three height-sensing valves. In addition to the air-spring, an interconnected air-supply system must be provided for continued maintenance of operating height.

  • Must be used in conjunction with seismic restraints for seismic applications.

  • Common Uses: a wide range of equipment that are in areas highly sensitive to vibration such as laboratories, recording studios, concert halls, movie theaters, auditoriums, etc.

RPG-EQ

The “RPG-EQ” consists of steel washers, neoprene grommets, and a steel bearing plate bonded to 1/4″ thick ribbed non-skid acoustical neoprene pad for full bearing at equipment anchorage locations. This mount is of limited vibration isolation capacity and is typically applied in non-sensitive vibration areas at or below grade locations. Our engineering team determine proper anchorage based on the equipment’s weight and geometry and the seismic load requirements for the installation. Additional layers of neoprene pad are available, as an option, for improved isolation efficiency.

  • Common Uses: boilers; chillers; internally-isolated air handlers.

ICPG-EQ

The “ICPG-EQ” consists of steel washers, neoprene grommets, and a steel bearing plate bonded to 3/4” thick non-skid, elastomeric waffle pad for full bearing at equipment anchorage locations. This mount is most effective in reducing high-frequency vibration and is typically applied in non-sensitive vibration areas at or below grade locations. Our engineering team determine proper anchorage based on the equipment’s weight and geometry and the seismic load requirements for the installation.. Additional layers of elastomeric waffle pad are available, as an option, for improved isolation efficiency.

  • Common Uses: high RPM/frequency equipment; boilers; chillers; internally-isolated air handlers.

EVAPG-EQ

The “EVAPG-EQ” consists of steel washers, neoprene grommets, and a steel bearing plate bonded to 7/8” thick EVA (Extreme Vibration Attenuation) pad for full bearing at equipment anchorage locations. Our engineering team determine proper anchorage based on the equipment’s weight and geometry and the seismic load requirements for the installation.

  • EVA is the latest generation in vibration-damping isolation pad technology. Its special composite foam center is resistant to breakdown by oils and chemicals, making it a more structurally sound alternative to cork.

  • Common Uses: high RPM/frequency equipment; boilers; chillers; condensers; pumps; internally-isolated air handlers.

FUD-EQ / FF-EQ

The “FUD-EQ” and “FF-EQ” are rubber-in-shear isolation mounts that are rated for seismic loading. These isolators incorporate a mounting bolt for connecting to equipment and a bottom steel baseplate (for anchoring to the structure). This mount is of limited vibration isolation efficiency and is typically used for small mechanical equipment and high RPM/frequency air conditioning units.
